Hunger Games: The Games

I think that The Games have no moral. The fact that they take random, innocent children, put them into a place with almost no possible survival rate, and watch it for entertainment is wrong. These are children. They have relationships, meaning, a place in the world, feelings and they are in no place to be lifted out of their lives to fight. No matter how terrible their lives are before, they can only get worse after.

To have a week of training, and a luxurious lifestyle to then be put in the worst conditions ever is repulsive. And just when Katniss starts to find water and survive they purposely start a fire for excitement.

I just can’t fathom how horrible it is to drop children-same age as me-who may have no experience whatsoever and laugh and enjoy the fights, dangers, struggle and everything they witness. To me it is possibly the worst thing you could possibly do.

This is a lot like the controlled government in some parts of our world. The people from the Capitol have control over everyone and everything and they show it. they show that they can make people do whatever they want them too and it is all for their pleasure. Our government may not be as cruel and it may be, but I do feel that that is a huge similarity between The Games and our world.

The Games are cruel, have no value, and are unjust.

  1. I agree with a lot of what you said. I think that the author is trying to give their view on human nature in a way.
